Posted in citizenship by admin on the July 24th, 2009

There are many places that you can find information about citizenship.  The most common are through the immigration office and even on the web.  When you are looking for information there are many things that you should consider.

The web is an excellent place to shop for gifts like candles, vintage dresses, men’s vintage clothing, and even electronics.  However, it is also a place where you can do plenty of research do you are not wasting your time on the phone or with efforts that are not going to do you any good.  Don’t think that buying vintage clothing and products is the only benefit of the web.  You can find everything you need online.

Immigration information can be found at the local immigration offices in your local community.  Don’t be surprised if you have to wait in line for a long period of time if you need to speak to someone.  Most immigration offices are very long waits.  If you are just looking for information about how to become a citizen then you might look on the walls for pamphlets that can answer your questions.  Most immigration offices have booklets and information about the steps required for you to take so you can become a citizen.  This way you know how much money you will need and the requirements you must meet in order to qualify for approval through the government as a citizen.

The web has many different libraries and databases that you can access everything that you need to know if you don’t have time to go down to the immigration office or you fear you will be deported the minute that you walk in the door.  Don’t risk being in the country by going down to the immigration office if you are illegal.  Find the information over the web and do what you need to do to get a temporary approval.

The web is an excellent place to go because you can download necessary forms from online through many sites.  Some information is free to the public while the government may make you pay them a small fee for the forms you need to fill out.  The good news is that you are not at risk.  You can fill them out and fax them into the office.  If there are forms that need to be notarized then you will need to have this done and then you can mail them in or bring them to the office on purpose.

Information about becoming a citizen in any country can be found on the web.  The Internet is the safest place to go for information if you don’t want to be deported or kicked out of a country for being there illegally.  The web will provide pamphlets, downloadable forms, and plenty of information so you are entirely informed about the process you will need to go through.  You can go down to your local government immigration offices and get everything that you need to become a citizen too.

There are many factors that will determine if you can become a citizen of the United States. If you don’t meet the requirements then you will be required to go back to your home country.

First of all if you want to apply for US citizenship you must be at least 18 years old, and must hold a green card and be considered a permanent resident. Also one cannot file for an application unless resided in the United States as a permanent resident, legally, for the last five years prior to filling an application.

You might have gotten married to someone so you could gain citizenship. If you have a conditional residence due to this circumstance and now are divorced then you must still be residing in the United States after the divorce.

Another thing you need to think about when you are wondering how to become a us citizen is that you must be residing continuously in the United States from the time you applied for citizenship up until the date you were approved. At no time during this period should you have resided anywhere other than the U.S.

During your application to become a citizen you must never get into trouble with the law. If you get into trouble with the law in any way during the application process then you will be denied and you must go back to your previous country of residency. You must be a person of good moral character. You also must not have any order of deportation or removal order pending for process or you will be denied also.

If you want to gain citizenship in the United States then you also must be able to read, write, speak, and understand simple phrases in English. If you make no effort to understand the English language then you will be denied into the country as a permanent resident as well. You also must have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of the United States history and government. If you want to become a citizen of the United States then you should care about the country and want to know about the history of the country as well.

Potential applicant should also be attached to and be able to support the principles of the United States Constitution. You should be able to swear to the allegiance of the United States as a citizen.

If you can meet the following factors listed above then you might be considered as a permanent resident of the United States and be given citizenship. Should you leave the United States for any period of time it may not be for more than one year. The process of gaining citizenship may take up to 10 years and you must be patient for the acceptance of your application. If you should leave the country for more than a year then you might be in a position that you have to reapply for citizenship all over again.
